Erik and his wife Kayla relocated to Manson in 2012 as they were both hired on with Manson School District. Erik has been the high school science teacher at Manson for the past 10 years, was the boys’ basketball coach for 8 seasons and is dad to Harper (8) and Hallie (3). 

Over the past three years, Erik has supported Thrive in various ways, including helping with Thrive Together events, volunteering at the annual Back to School Fair, and most recently became a mentor to a Chelan student during the 2021-22 school year.  

On joining Thrive’s Board, Erik says, “I love the mission of Thrive in that it aims to serve ALL students in this valley, regardless of situation and background. I hope to use my unique position in the school and as a mentor to listen to the youth in our valley and advocate to help fill in the gaps which help them reach their full potential.”
