My husband, Geoffrey, and I moved to Corvallis, OR in 2007. We welcomed Caleb in 2008 and Jeliya in 2010. In Corvallis, I pursued my passion for Early Childhood Education. As our children grew, so did Wonders Early Learning Center, (Certified Home Care: 2009-2014 and Certified Center: owned and directed 2014-2020). 

 

Geoffrey grew up in Entiat, where his parents still reside, so we visited Chelan at least a couple times each year. In 2021, after the pandemic closed down our early learning center, we decided that if we could be anywhere, we wanted to be closer to family and the water, so we made our move to Chelan. 

 

We have fallen in love with this amazing community- the mountains, the lake, and the people!

 

Our kids started attending the Thrive Teen Center in the fall of 2022 and I followed along as a volunteer, in an effort to spend more time with them and their friends. I really enjoyed working alongside Stefani, and all the amazing volunteers that make the teen center what it is. As time went on, I realized the full scope of what Thrive is all about and became  more and more involved, volunteering at every opportunity and capacity. 

 

This organization meets tangible needs for youth in our community and I couldn’t be more honored to be a part of this mission!
