ABOUT OUR TEEN CENTER
The Thrive Teen Center represents a long-term partnership with the City of Chelan and the Lake Chelan United Methodist Church. This flagship program provides a safe and relaxing environment for teens to enjoy a warm meal, socialize, listen to music, play games, and connect with positive adults.
Inside the Teen Center, we’ve got a variety of entertainment to enjoy, including two newly-refurbished pool tables, Foosball, air hockey, karaoke, video games, board games and much more. In 2020, we also added free WiFi and state-of-the art technology devices for teens to utilize to create music, stop-motion videos and more!
The Thrive Teen Center is typically open on Friday and Saturday evenings from 6-10pm, and is located at the Lake Chelan United Methodist Church. Operations are currently closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. We look forward to opening our doors again as soon as it is safely possible.
If you have a heart for serving teens, we want to connect you to the Teen Center! Whether it is hanging out, leading an activity, or preparing a meal…we have a spot for you on our team!
While the Teen Center is currently closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, our primary needs for volunteers typically include:
- Volunteers: Adults who hang out and socialize with teens during hours of operation
- Meal Prep/Donation: Community members who prepare/serve meals on Friday and Saturday evenings
Volunteer to hang out and spend time with students, provide a warm meal, or lead an activity at the teen center!
Your tax-deductible contributions help the Teen Center pay for overhead costs such as rent, utilities, meals, and games and entertainment.
Donate food or toiletries to our onsite pantry, or activities that the students can do together or with a mentor.
