ABOUT OUR TEEN CENTER
The Thrive Teen Center represents a long-term partnership with the City of Chelan and the Lake Chelan United Methodist Church. Our flagship program provides a safe and relaxing environment for teens to enjoy a snack, study, socialize, listen to music, play games, and connect with positive adults.
Inside the Teen Center, we’ve got a variety of entertainment to enjoy, including two pool tables, Foosball, air hockey, video games, board games and much more. In 2020, we also added free WiFi and state-of-the art technology devices for teens to utilize to create music, stop-motion videos, complete school work and more!
We’re excited to announce that the Thrive Teen Center is re-opening this fall and will be better than ever! Our first day will be Tuesday, October 4th. We will be open on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3-5:30pm. Starting in March, we will be open until 6:30pm on Tuesdays and serve dinner to the students.
If you have a heart for serving teens, we want to connect you to the Teen Center! Whether it is hanging out, leading an activity, or preparing snacks…we have a spot for you on our team!
Our primary needs for volunteers typically include:
- Volunteers: Adults who can socialize with & tutor teens during hours of operation
- Food Prep/Donation: Community members who organize & serve snacks for teens who attend, or sponsor a Tuesday night dinner.
