My husband, Derek, and I moved to Chelan in September 2023 when we became empty nesters.  We grew up  in Olympia, WA (where we actually met in preschool!) and Chelan was a summer destination for both families every year as well as with our children.  We are thrilled to finally be in Chelan full time. Our two children, Michael and Erin, attend Western Washington University and the University of Arizona respectively.  I graduated from the University of Washington and although I seem to be in Coug country now…will always cheer on my Dawgs!

We are co-owners of Layla’s Bar + Kitchen and love how small business ownership has brought us even closer to our amazing community.  In addition, I have spent 25 years in a variety of HR leadership roles in organizations from Disney to Microsoft to Starbucks to Airbnb and currently lead the Talent organization for Toast Inc. working remotely from Chelan (with many trips to headquarters in Boston, MA).

I was drawn to Thrive immediately as I have volunteered with organizations like Treehouse and Teen Feed for the last 20 years in the greater Seattle area.  I am honored to be a part of the Thrive board and family and look forward to watching the organization continue to grow and provide support across the valley.
