SALVADOR GONZALEZ MARAVILLA

Salvador and his family moved to the Lake Chelan valley when he was four years old. After graduating from Chelan High School, Salvador studied Human Development and Family Consumer Sciences at Washington State University before returning to the valley to begin his career as a teacher at Chelan High School. Sal has served as a Thrive Mentor to two Chelan students (brothers!) since 2021. He has also directly supported Thrive Together events by helping lead a cooking class for teens and mentors.

On joining the Thrive Board, Salvador states, “Thrive provides opportunities for individuals in the community regardless of their background. Having a support group and a mentor who can guide you through difficult times can be extremely impactful. Growing up I stumbled across a lot of obstacles that made it difficult to succeed. Understanding the VALUE and the POWER that Thrive has in this community can help individuals overcome anything.
