Here in the Chelan Valley we believe in community. We are inspired by people joining together to share food and wine at Tsillan Cellars, racing ‘til we drop at Chelan Man, sharing a pizza at Local Myth, drinking a cider at Rootwood Cider, and so much more. We are inspired by we, us, our, local.
For this reason, another summer came and went with a successful gathering of community members at Benson Winery to support Chelan to Africa, “a grassroots organization focused on improving the health and education of vulnerable children both here in Chelan and halfway across the world in rural Lesotho”.
We at Thrive Chelan Valley have been honored to share in this event and feel so much support. We saw school staff members, parents, church leaders, doctors, and business owners alike coming together for one purpose: we all believe every child deserves to be encouraged by an adult they look up to, provided for, and a place to feel safe. Every child deserves to hold the simple belief that they belong. Our Chelan Valley youth deserve to recognize that we as a community are their voice and will not allow them to fall through the cracks.
Thank you to everyone who supported us this year. We are humbled to witness Chelan uniting for a cause greater than ourselves every year. YOU are the reason we are able to do what we do!
