Mentoring young people. Painting the Teen Center. Serving on our mentoring leadership team. Playing pool with kids on a Friday night. Delivering weekend meals. Procuring donations. Dressing up like an elf to spread holiday cheer. These are just a few of the things that Mike Strecker has done to support our valley’s youth. As you can see, there is no task too big or too small for Mike. If a student’s in need, Mike is on the way and he is bringing relief. We are thankful for Mike’s heart for youth and his tireless efforts to ensure their needs are met.
Here is what fellow volunteer, Michelle Navarro, had to say about Mike: “He’s been on our Mentoring Leadership Team almost since its inception. Mike has helped provide structure, raise awareness, and even procure donations to support vital mentoring relationships. Mike also volunteered to be a mentor and has made quite an impact on his mentee. He’s always optimistic, fun to work with, and jumps in to help wherever there is a need.”
